A blood bath is still a bath

The odds of Nigeria sharing a birthday with one of the worlds greatest powers (1 in 365) is likely just a coincidence.  Both the Peoples Republic of China and the Federal Republic of Nigeria share October 1st, as their legal dates of formation. The two nations were born from struggle.  In the case of China it was a total blood bath where as for Nigeria it was a sprinkling of baptism by comparison.

A blood bath may be undesirable, but sometimes it's the only way to achieve true unity and cohesion. Victory must be total. The enemy should be abolished from the Earth.  Wars should only be fought as a last resort. When there is nothing remaining to talk about and all option for peaceful settlement have been exhausted. Then we fight until one side is completely victorious and the other side is wiped out.

In China the Communist wiped out the Nationalist forces. The nationalist were swept into the ocean taking refuge on the island of Taiwan.  Today there is only one China. This is one of the key factors that has allowed China to progress so rapidly.  There is no tolerance for backward thinking, greed, or corruption. Those found guilty of such face the death penalty.

Not that I agree with Marxism, but many of the socialist ideas which grew out of  the Chinese revolution are very patriotic notions which have benefited all of the Chinese people. China, a nation born in blood, has come incredibly far in the past 50 years with the same government. Nigeria, born out of deplomacy and relative peace, has failed to thrive or live up to her full potential. Perhaps it is time that Nigeria share more than just a birthday with the People's Republic of China.
